Welcome to the New Mexico
Department of Health Arthritis Program

The New Mexico Department of Health Arthritis Program works with state partners to:

  • Deliver physical activity and self-management programs that are proven to improve the quality of life of people with arthritis and other chronic conditions;
  • Increase awareness through education about the prevalence, burden and management of arthritis; and
  • Promote policies that help people living with arthritis and other chronic conditions.

Our Vision: An improved quality of life for New Mexicans living with arthritis.

The Arthritis Program is part of the New Mexico Department of Health's Chronic Disease Prevention and Control Bureau. It is funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
